Within London

Single fare of London underground is £4 regardless of how far or how near you travel within zone 1-6. (Since Heathrow airport is located in zone 6, you do not need to travel excess zone 6).

Arriving Norwich airport

From Amsterdam, you can fly to Norwich airport in under one hour by KLM. From Norwich airport to the city centre takes 15-20 minutes by taxi to your hotel, and will cost around £15.

From Stansted Airport

National Express coaches run from Stansted airport. Take a coach number JL727 and get off at the Surrey Street bus station, which is the terminal station in Norwich. From the bus station, take a taxi unless you are staying at the Travelodge, which is located just next door to the bus station. From Heathrow

Take Underground to Holborn and change to the Central Line (red line) East Bound to Liverpool Street station. At the station follow the signs of ‘Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City Line' and you will find an exit from the underground station towards Liverpool Street National Rail station where trains leave for Norwich. From Liverpool Street station to Norwich takes just under 2 hours.

When you arrive at Norwich station, you have to take a taxi to your hotel unless you are staying at Premier Inn Nelson, which is located in front of the train station. Taxi will cost around £5-£9.

You can also book a ticket via this website. National Rail's fares are variable from £7 to £48.80 depending upon how early you book, what time you travel (off-peak or peak time) and how flexible you can be.

Alternatively, you can take Heathrow Express, which costs £16.50 for 2nd class single, to Paddington in 15 minutes. From Paddington, take Hammersmith & City Line (pink line) East Bound to Liverpool Street station. Then take National Rail to Norwich.

From St Pancras International

Before heading to Norwich, if you wish, you can easily visit the British Library from St Pancras station. The British Library is literally located next door to St Pancras station.

To go to Norwich, take a train to Cambridge from Kings Cross station which is next door to St Pancras station. The train journey from Kings Cross to Cambridge takes about 1 hour.

You have to change and catch a different train for Norwich which leaves from usually platform 5.

From Cambridge to Norwich takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

You can also book a ticket from King's Cross to Norwich via Cambridge on this website. However, off-peak open return tickets at £41.50 can be purchased at King's Cross station on the day you travel. This is the easiest and probably the cheapest fare.
